LINDSAY McCARTHY
Communicative Disorders Assistant
I was first introduced to the speech and language field when I accompanied my sister to her speech session. I watched her use sign and pictures to make choices and play with her SLP, and I was hooked. I graduated from the CDA program in 2000, and have worked with preschool, school-aged and teens in both public and private settings. I have a passion for social communication and AAC. Outside the office, you'll find me surrounded by my chickens, sheep and pigs, pretending I know how to be a farmer.
MEAGHAN
IRONMONGER
Communicative Disorders Assistant
Social Media Specialist
My first experience with the field of speech and language was as a child helping my brother with his 'speech homework' and therapy sessions. I started working in education in 2013 and have been inspired by the amazing children I have worked with throughout my career. They helped steer me toward becoming a CDA and I have truly found my passion! In my free time, I can be found with my dogs exploring hiking trails.

I am the mom of two beautiful, autistic, non-verbal daughters. I have seen the success of speech therapy as my oldest is starting to verbalize simple words and is learning to read! I'm experienced in using Picture Exchange Communication and the Proloquo2Go app on the iPad. I am a founding member of Autism Resources Lennox and Addington (ARLA), a group designed to bring more inclusiveness, awareness and events to our community. In my spare time, I love playing baseball and going bowling with my husband.
